The Bridge Burner

“Sometimes you get the best light from a burning bridge.”
-Don Henley
The Bridge Burner is a visual novel written, drawn, colored, and obsessed over by me. It has become a creative examination of my life as a queer, neurodivergent addict, trapped in a noisy world that revolves around constant connection, Number Go Up, and money. Ross is the artistic lens over my experiences, processing the trauma of bearing witness to systemic violence, experiencing the full spectrum of loss, and the forever struggle to keep up with the confusing paces of adulthood.

Content Warnings
This comic is for an adult audience and is not intended for younger readers. While it definitely features silly heart glasses man, there's some very real trauma processed in here.
This story explores a full spectrum of content that is explicit and can be painful and challenging. Some of the experiences depicted in detail include some hard hitters like mental illness, neurodivergent masking, addiction and drug use, toxic relationships, grief, suicide, self injury, religious trauma, sexual assault and violence.
These concepts are explored through the lens of my own experience, and will likely differ from your own. No two experiences between people are the same. What helps me might injure you.
